Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to join a full service lunch and dinner concept. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests. As the Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant run smoothly, from managing staff to maintaining high food safety standards.
Responsibilities
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a strong team.
• Supervise shift management and coordinate activities among kitchen and service staff.
• Maintain high standards of food handling and preparation in accordance with food safety
Guidelines.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
• Plan and execute special events such as banquets or private parties.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant performance and profitability.
Skills
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Proven experience in food service management with a focus on supervising teams effectively.
• Excellent skills in shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts.
• Familiarity with cooking techniques and kitchen operations is beneficial.
• Ability to help develop staff through training and mentoring programs.
• Experience in restaurant management, including financial oversight and budgeting.
• Skills in interviewing potential candidates to build a competent workforce.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with both staff and customers.
